@DerHoggz WTF is happening there, bongo drums on the nice aero helmet? Crack me up! »
@Mikael Liddy Congrats! It’s not manly to say, and never would have before having my own, but he is one beautiful boy! Our 1 week old is kicking our ass at nights (just need to HTFU!), hope you’re having more luck.. »

Anyone able to help out a pleb, what stage numbers and nmaes for the legendary climbs of this Giro? Stelvio, Mortello etc? »
@Mikael Liddy Boom! Congrats and good luck man! We had b+2 yesterday also, you can’t do anything in hospital, best get on the bike and get the last rides in before bubs gets home, right? Yeah, right…. »
@Pedale.Forchetta Can’t wait, you’re the best around mate! »

@Gianni I saw an add for Schwalbe Durano Plus tubeless, the ultimate tubeless tyre as unlikely to get a puncture? I hear they are slow to ride tho… »
@SimonH That thing is fucking georgeous.. »
@minion So drop the stem from 130 to 90 and go for it? It needs work, so couldn’t ride it. Set the seat post at my BB to seat height, seems fine. Cranks 175, like my MTB which I have no prob with, current roady is 170. »
@minion So drop the stem from 130 to 90 and do it? I set up the potential bike at my same BB to seat top and it looks fine. The cranks are 175, same as my MTB, current roady is 170. It needs work to ride it unfortunately. »
Just went and had a good look at it. It’s a bit tired, the front derailleur is worn out, scratches everywhere, but the price was right, this is the cellar i dwell in. Had a good measure of it, the centre seat post clamp bolt to centre of the bar is 65mm … »
@Steampunk Cheers, what TT length do you ride out of interest? @Nate Thanks heaps for your assistance, def sounds too big now, if you ride the same tt. Ugh.. »
@Nate 178cm, 5’10″ in old money.. »
@Nate Thanks mate. It just seems weird, I can occassionally hit my knee on the bars climbing on the current bike, so I always thought it was too small. I think I have long legs/femurs (hence hitting the bars) and a shorter torso (hence a shorter stem) may… »
@Nate Yeah mate, a roady. Blow me down with a feather if it isn’t the same frameset but different size that @Mike_P posted. See why I am so torn about it? You guys think it’d be worth riding a bike too big just to have one? How does that long of a stem a… »
@DocBrian Whew! @Deakus When do you need to move to a medium cage? Would a short cage on a 54/39 cover a 27t cassette? Does anyone know why short cage is preferred to medium or long cage? I can’t think it would be any less efficient, save for h… »
@Rob I may be wrong, but standard crank to compact crank mostly have different mounting bolt measurements (called BCD I think?), so make sure you check that the new ones will bolt up the same. Your current crank or rings may have it stamped/written somewh… »
Oh, and if your riding buddies give you shit if you happen to decide to go for easier gearing than them, because they think you are less of a man, just drop them with your efficient choice of gearing… On a ride, it is all about the legs. »
@Rob I have nowhere the experience of some here, the biggest hills around here are 500m at 11%, most rides have hills at least 300m at 8% max. I take a scientific view of cycling, and that comes to gearing as well. If you want a fast time, and easier ge… »
@frank Thanks Frank! Didn’t think to do that, seeing as the current is comfy for centuries, makes perfect sense to know what that is exactly, then replicate… »

Cool photo. I like to think Leducq is saying to his vanquished opponent, “Friend, I fucking slayed you on the col.” to which they are chuckling in agreement.. »

@pistard So the other measurements are center of BB to centre top tube =57cm. Top tube from center seat tube to center head tube is 57.5cm. It is flat, so no hypothetical centers here. I have no idea how people figure that the top tube length is more i… »
A little help on sizing if you guys wouldn’t mind: I have the inside line on what I consider a classic Bianchi. Size is unknown but thanks to some links on the Pirata article, it measures out to a 59cm. I am 178cm tall, dark and handsome. Inside leg is 8… »

I’m no pro, but there is nothing quite like getting passed by a car at the top of a climb, then riding its arse through the twisties down the other side. »
