I’ve just picked up one of these Mavic H20 Sprint jackets that I’ll wear during my dark commutes over the winter. It’s a quality bit of kit, well fitted and not stupid expensive. The white / black contrast will make me as visible as I need to be. I’d say … »

@huffalotpuffalot I watched the end of that stage yesterday and all the riders were totally fried. At the base of the climb it was 44 deg C (111F) and when they crawled over the finish line they were toppling off of their bikes unable to pedal any furth… »
@snoov Yep, ToC on Eurosport now. Andy Schleck looked ok yesterday, best tune in quick before he drops out. »
Wiggins will be fine. He’s spent the last 24 watching this to get his mojo back: »

Wiggins looked generally uncomfy on his bike all week even before his crash. I can’t decide if I like Vaughters or not, but there may be some truth in his twitter speculation that Wiggns is suffering with the same bug that Cataldo had. »
No rest day swaps for me. My VSP picks are rubbish but its been a great first week. »
@snoov Mayo’s time was set during the ITT in the 94 Dauphine, it wasn’t a road stage. »

@Spun Up I’ll add my thoughts in response to your original question; post ride instead of grabbing a massive plate full of food have a small portion of something. Your body will be telling you to eat more but give it 15/20 minutes before having another sm… »

@Tobin I read that Chris Froome has beaten Iban Mayo’s (doped up) record of 55 mins up Mt Ventoux on his first training ride there. That should make for some good viewing in July. »
@Mikael Liddy All the roads in the UK are grippy chip seal or worse, you couldn’t slide off in the rain even if you tried. »
Massive hat tipping to Nibali today. The way he handled that off and got back to the front was pure class. »

Il Giro for me, its more sketchy which makes it more exciting than the tour. I had a rare day off with my just my 2 year old son for company today. He was happily running round playing so i set the trainer up in front of the tv. He ended up sat on the to… »

@El Mateo I think the long TT stage on Saturday is going to be really interesting. Losing time at the end of tuesdays stage, the Columbian ‘conspiracy’, Chris Froome and his whiny bird must mean that Wiggins is totally screwing at the moment. On paper W… »

@DerHoggz I ride Conti GP4000S (23′s) and get on well with them. I also have a pair of Conti Attack / Force that are really nice tyres but are too lightweight for the roads where I live. My rain / commuting bike has Schwalbe Durano that have been really… »
@snoov @itburns Cheers for your help. Will take another look at the bike tonight and your suggestions. The cage seems to move across ok and the position indicator moves all the way to the left on the shifter. It then just seems to be missing the third c… »
I need some front mech help as my n2 is stuck in the small ring. Tension and alingment seem ok but the shifter will only click up 2 times not 3 so the chain dumps back down. Its humble tiagra thats covered around 6000km. Any ideas where to start? »
