When I first started riding a bike, anything other than flat roads were intimidating to me. It wasn’t until I started riding in groups that my descending skills started to improve, mainly because it was the only way I could stick with the group in hilly t… »

@DerHoggz Sorry for the double post, but I looked in your profile and saw “western PA”. http://www.usacycling.org/clubs/?state=PA ^Look there. If “western PA” means Pittsburgh then you are in luck. I’m from Central PA personally, let me know if you’re… »
@DerHoggz Did you check USA Cycling’s website or you national cycling organization (if outside the US)? Also while the local club may be of a less competitive lean there will be people who can make you better there, and at least you will have more compan… »

@Spun Up I’m built the same as you, maybe not as heavy though. I used to be 18 “stone” and I’m down to 14 now. A lot of good has been said already, but whats worked for me so far has been: 1. PROTEIN: Eat it like a boss. And healthy protein. Lots of e… »

Based on last year’s racing alone, I would have put the tour last of the three. Overall I’ve been increasingly impressed with Italian racing of late. Look at some of the races the past two years. Tirreno Adriatico has been much more interesting than Pari… »

I missed the deadline, but wondering what people think the odds are that Kilderman finishes ahead of Gesink this Giro? »

I’m not sure what ketamine based drugs Buck is stealing and abusing right now but he sure is excited about another Too Much on 100 Cogal. Everyone who wants to live the Rule #5 life, line up here. -gianniThe 2013 200-on-100 Cogal, or for the crazy bastards repeating it from last year, The 400-on-100 Cogal (aka The Buck Rogers Knee Memorial ride, The Steampuck Gastro Memorial Ride, The What the Fuck Was I thinking Memorial Ride).
On Thursday, June 21st starting at V after V (actual time of sunrise-How Velominati is that?!?) in North Troy, VT the second annual 200-on-100 Cogal will kick off for another crazy, painful, endorphin-induced-hallucinogenic filled, long ass day in the saddle. Last year was amazingly awesome. I will not wax all nostalgic about it. Watch the Ryan Kelly video, read the Cogal page from last year, check out the strava links: It speaks for itself.
I will be driving support in my new-to-me 1984 12 passenger Land Rover Defender 110 with the big ass roof rack which is a right hand drive so I should be able to hand out bidons and drive all at the same time! It will also have plenty of room in case anyone gets injured and needs to bail. Rob has thrown his hat in for possibly driving a support wagon as well so support should be covered.
Logistics will be ironed out as the time approaches and hopefully Roger, aka The 200-on-100 MAN, will help with the planning as he did last year but this time around he is NOT allowed to pay for anything!!!
So be there and be pedaling square by day’s end or regret it for the next 12 months! It’s going to be Fooockin’ Awwwesome (insert Djibouti Dub Video here).”
I still need to find the Djibouti Dub video but I attached the picture of my Velo Support Wagon, BABY!
I think that this is the link for Djubouti but I cannot open it at work as it is banned! www.youtube.com/watch?v=iOmvdeNa67E
If you do not know Djubouti Dubs, you missing out. Just google them, but not at work!
Thanks!
Buck

@Frank I see you’ve been making moves with the gear redesign, however I have plenty of kit right now. What I would like though is a cap and I see you still don’t have one for sale. Any plans on doing so soon? »

Twitter hashtag #MSR is full of nasty images. Looks like this classic has finally found an addition to suite the hardmen. Should be interesting to see what things look like on the Capi on the second half of the race. »
Everyone is saying that this race will be impossible to predict but I beg to differ. I think of the three options: a breakaway, a select group, or mass gallop, the mass gallop is straight out this year. Between the weather, the wind (likely a gusty but no… »
