Update: You can watch the live stream (assuming it works from the velodrome) on the Velominati channel at USTREAM. When you log in, you’ll first see my little test video of my puppy eating grass. Please disregard me yelling at it. That never happened.I have always considered myself to have a good imagination, something I attribute half to my...

  1. Just got home and was able to watch the feed replay. Truly impressive and inspiring, haven’t been on a track for years but you’ve definitely lit a fire. Great job out there. »

This week’s Guest Article comes from our friend, @blacktoolpower (l) and our editor Drummond Moir (r). In anticipation of our book’s imminent release, these two donned their lab coats and headed out to the streets of London to assess the state of Rule Compliance in the city’s commuter crowd. Always remember: leave this kind of ins...

  1. @frank Yes, that is a very fine design…and I can’t help but think it would make a great kit graphic, in my daydreams while sitting in front of my computer I envision this: Matching stripes on the collar, sleeves and leg openings, ”Obey the rules” scr… »

  2. Hilarious! You should do a limited edition of the book that includes those cards. I could use more than a few just in the bike parking at our office. Just got word from Amazon UK that my copy has been dispatched. Next Friday the 21st will be like Christ… »

And the punch card reader has been refurbished.Broome and Berti are already riding the Critérium du Dauphiné. The top contenders prefer the Dauphiné for the decent recovery all...

Every once in a while, you stumble across a quote that changes your outlook on how you approach life. Of course, this requires that one does a good deal of “reading”, which is a problem for me, as reading anything that isn’t Cycling-related feels the same as doing “work”. I do the odd bit of it nevertheless, and in a r...

  1. Congratulations Keepers – looks like another winner to go along with the site, the gear and the tours. Being a bit of a book nerd (both cycling and otherwise) I was excited to hear the news last year of this project. I thought it would be an amazing tool … »

Twiggo is dreaming of a Giro-Tour double. He has sent out mixed messages about his Tour ambitions. Will he use the Giro as the ultimate Tour preparation or will be burn all his matches in May and hope he can find another pack for July? He has abandoned his successful 2012 Tour run-up strategy of winning every stage race he entered the previous spri...

  11. @Beers I envy you being able to keep your head in the sand and simply enjoy, I did the same for over 15 years… just haven’t got it in me anymore I guess. I want to have my cake and eat it too (i.e. great and clean racing). So far so good in this Giro,… »

  12. @strathlubnaig That’s me. Too bad we aren’t still playing by the old swap rules… I’d be killing it right now! »

  13. @unversio Very true indeed. Just to be clear – I did not want him to not ride to his fullest abilities, but rather, I wanted his abilities to be not too much better than the other riders -thereby reducing the amount of suspicion that will inevitably fo… »

  14. Nibali’s win in stage 18 is one which – based on his personal history – should rightfully be celebrated as a victory that cements his place in the top echelon of competitors in the peloton today. Should he maintain his current 4 plus minute lead all the w… »
