Velominatus: Mrs Engine

Order: Level 3 Velominatus

Location: Callander Scotland UK

Put upon wife of 3 or 4 children (if you include the husband). Did have a previous life of sex, drugs, rock & roll and travel before I succumbed to the "charms" of present husband (things can change in an instant!!) Likes: nights out with the girls, staying in with the girls, talking to the girls. BUT... I do like watching sport (live or on telly), participating in boxercise, a wee bit cycling (to the cafe and back for coffee with the girls) making stained glass & jewellery. AND general berating of present husband for his obsession with That ******g Bike

It looks so easy on the television. Well, no, actually it looks pretty bloody hard. We think we have some understanding of how they suffer, how their bodies can take the continual beating. But we don’t really know. Not even by riding these abominations they call roads twice in the space of a few days can we understand the scale of the thing...

As referenced in the 2012 V-Moment of the year article and ensuing discussion, it was a most Vawesome year for cycling. It’s been hypothesized here and on cycling sites with more integrity that the fantastic racing of 2012 may be, at least in part, attributed to a cleaner peloton. Unless you watched the Tour de France you’d think the da...

  1. @snoov But dont you think fanny would be the better word, being Scottish and all.  Then you could call him a complete fanny or a total fanny or a big effin fanny.  Sounds so much better in a Scottish accent »

  1. As for calling the present @the Engine my VHM, no, I certainly do not.  I have to retain a sense of decorum in our house because of the way the conversions are going between our 14yr (who plays for 3 ladies waterpolo teams) and her father, they are degene… »
