Merckxy Christmas, and a Coppi New Year

We wish you a Merckxy Christmas

It has been a crazy year, this, with our first annual Keepers Tour sorted, partnerships with the industry’s leading icons including Johan Museeuw, Pavé Cycling Classics, DeFeet, Fizik, and Lezyne – and a book deal to boot (deadline looming large on January 1st). We couldn’t have asked for a better year, and would like to remind you all that none of this – not one part of it – works without you, The Community.

It is a dream come true to be part of Cycling and to have some perceived value within this amazing community. Thank you all. From the bottom of our hearts, we wish you a very Merckxy Christmas, and a Coppi New Year.

Merckx bless you, one and all.

– The Keepers

    Right back at ya!

Fabulous….British Heart Foundation?  I sent these cards to friends last year and this.

Merry Christmas to all the Velominati, in whatever country or whatever timezone you are in.  May the festivities sit light in your stomachs and Merckx will push out the door and on to your steeds pretty damn quick once the relevant respects and rest have been enjoyed!

And in a continuation of my irreverence I give you a great big ;)

  2. May the Keepers & the Vhole V community have a great Merckx Season

Everyone, have great and safe holidays and see you on the pave, tarmac, chip seal, road next year!

  4. All the best, and thanks for another year of inspiration!

  5. From a newcomer to the site, but a long-time follower of the V, Best Wish to the Keepers and all the unique contributors to this great site!!!   Allez les gars, demain on fera un tour en velo….Bonne Annee.

  6. Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house
Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse.
The Colnagos were hung in the bike room with care,
In hopes that St Merckx soon would be there.

The Keepers were nestled all snug in their beds,
While visions of cobbletones danced in their heads….

OK, that’s about all the creativity I have for today.

Happy holidays to all and much V in 2013!

The website is off to a great start. I’ll have to order a t-shirt one of these days. Here’s to a great first official year of your business.

  9. Merry Christmas to Frank, the Keepers and the rest of the V-community.  Here’s to a resplendent New Year!

  10. May the sun shine and the wind be at your backs! It’s almost 9.00am 20 degrees bottles filled, tires pumped, legs newly minted, took thirty years but you guys made me do it! 65 km to lunch, mmmm lunch. Keep the rubber on the road, Happy Riding to @ All.

  11. Merry Christmas all. I can assert that without this site I would certainly be ending this year at least 30lbs heavier and without gravel rash on my knee. I am happy to be still a little too fat to climb and wincing each time I bend my right knee. Merry Mercxmas.

  12. @frank

    Merry Christmas, everyone.

Brian Setzer rips it up, by the by.

And the Nutcracker Suite. Even better.

Seeing as we are now moving very much “highbrow”…..you can not..I repeat…NOT… beat Eric Morecombe on the piano!

  13. Happy Christmas! The weight watching went on hiatus an hour ago (until december 26), I’ve a beer in one hand and a bourbon in the other….wishing you all happy times and blessings. Thanks to you all for community and inspiration!

O shit I think I got it wrong…my weight watching start an hour ago, after being on haitus all year………..did I do bad?!

  15. Happy Christmas to all Velominati out there!

My first post on the site after ‘drafting’ on it, without invitation or introduction, for some time now – I love it!  Remember, Rule #5 applies in life as well as on the bike, so when you’re staring down that 3rd bowl of Christmas pud with deep regret: HTFU and get it down your neck!!  After all, it’s the perfect excuse to get out on Boxing Day and ride it off…

^ What he said as well. IT’s been fun and looking to next year.

  22. The Big Man with the white beard has indeed been kind this year….if there were a more perfect set of accoutrements, I cannot think of them!

  23. Happy Christmas to all, and special thanks to The Keepers, who keep us good boys and girls all year long.

My cycling swag was some Dulwich Paragon kit, which I have been hankering after for a long time to leave in London and use when I’m back. And a Kindle, which is cycling related because I haven’t been able to find the Tyler Hamilton book in Abu Dhabi so now I can download it.

Oh and when I got home a couple of days ago my wife looked at me in amazement and commented that I had visibly lost weight… early present ! It will all be going back on today though…

  25. Merckxy Christmas everybody! To the Keeper’s, thanks for another year of cycling and non cycling related goodness. Here at the arse end of the world, our Christmas day is almost over for another year. To those on the top half, all the best and may the Prophet bless you all with lots of goodies.

  26. It may not be acceptable to mix geekery with looking fantastic, but Santa made me do it:

Merckx help me but I can be a “red shirt” any time I want now. I hope it won’t mean I’m the first to die on away rides….
