Alpine Cogal IIIV 2013

He's baaaaaack! @936ADL is at it again.

After the success of last year’s inaugural Alpine Cogal, we’re back. @MartynBroVVn has only one target in mind, the Col du Glandon. However there’s also the Croix de Fer to conquer first, before we drop down to refuel in Saint Jean de Maurienne. From here, it’s time for the Glandon, all 192IV metres of it. The small matter of a 30km is all that will stand before us and our well earned malted recovery beverage consumption.

// Cogal // Rule VV (Climbing)

  1. What could go wrong?

We’re also planning on an assault of the Alpe at some point during this weeks as well.

Right, i’m off to perform multiple hill reps whilst meditating on the V…..

  2. The Glandon, not once, but twice, with the Croix de Fer thrown in for good measure
    What could possibly go wrong……….
Much meditation on the V will be required

  3. I’ll be in the area, hope to ride with you at some point.

  4. @snoov

It would be great to hook up for a ride and/or Malted Recovery Beverage Consumption.

4 of us are planning on arriving down there on Tue 16th. 17th is the Cogal, and on the 18th & 19th we’ll be mixing riding with watching the Pros show us how it should be done.

I’m sure we can sort something out.

  5. The timing is out for me – I’ll be in France from the 9 to the 15th – climbing Mont Ventoux Sat 14th, the day before the pros………

Hoping to camp on the mountain – has anybody ‘been there/done that’ that can offer tips?!

  6. @davidlhill

Would love to have made it to Ventoux, but the date dates didn’t hang together. I was there in 09 and it really is something else.

Good luck camping on the mountain, it’s fairly hardcore.

  7. The route planning is coming along nicely……

  8. Ok. The route’s finalised, so all you need to is turn up and ride. This promises to be one hell of a day in the saddle.

    See you in the Alps!

You can contact me via twitter(@936ADL) if you want to join us.

  9. @936adl Just saw your posts. Not sure of our movements yet.

  10. @snoov
