Ride & Book Signing at Rapha Club San Francisco – May 10

Ride & Book Signing at Rapha Club San Francisco – May 10

by / / 7 posts

Velominati’s book, The Rules, The Way of the Cycling Disciple, will be released in the United States on May 5, the day known as Die Congnoscentus or V.V in old Velomiskrit. In support of its impending launch, we’re very excited to announce the second of our book signing events in partnership with Rapha’s San Francisco Club on Saturday, May 10th.

The event will start with a ride: coffee at 8:00am at the Club, leaving at 8:30am and returning between 2:00pm and 2:30pm. We will ride at an easy Casually Deliberate pace intended for the social aspect of The Ride. The riding from the Club is supposed to be some of the finest in the country, so make sure you get in on this action.

The book signing will start at 3:00pm at the Rapha Club; there will be coffee and sandwiches available and the signing will be an informal event intended as an excuse to bring people together and talk about bikes.

  1. Getting so stoked for this ride! @Nate and I are going to be doing a ride Friday (is @Eric coming?) and then a nice climbing ride including a bout of gravel on the way up Mount Tam, which is a climb I’ve always wanted to do!

    Now the question is: which wheels and which tires?

  2. Super stoked.  You know my views on tires.

    Got word yesterday evening that @EricW won’t be able to make it, alas.

    Make sure to stop at Above Category on your way out to or back from Mt.Tam..my favorite shop in the country! When you get to the top of Tam…it’s a great view!

  4. Off to a great start; @Nate and Gary Boulanger and I kicked an amazing ride around the bay in perfect if windy weather. Then a great dinner. Thanks to both for organizing such a great ride.

  5. @frank great riding and company.  An excellent amuse-bouche for tomorrow.

  6. @Frank and @Nate – great to ride with you guys this morning.  Sorry I had to cut early – just means I suck even more. I did get a copy of the Rules (yes; I paid for it, Frank).  But now I will have to find a time to get you to sign it as I had to return to HMB.  I think I see a trip to Seattle in my future.  Safe travels and thanks for coming out for the ride – first time for me on those roads.

  7. @HMBSteve

    Great to meet you too, mate.

    @all

    What a fucking ride! SFO has the market cornered on amazing road riding outside a monster metropolis.
