Velominati Super Prestige: Giro d’Italia 2016

Ladies and gentlemen, prepare for the Giro, 2016, starting in Apeldoorn, the Netherlands and finishing in Torino, Italy. Here is a provisional start list. The riders make the race so it should be fantastic racing, a race up the whole of the country, for three weeks, what’s not to love? The Giro usually has a crazy stage and we are unsure what this year’s edition holds in that category, maybe more racing at night, or on dirt, bring it on. The Shark, Landa, Malmerde, Uran Uran, even Red Ryder, and more, each have a decent shot at the over all.

We all know the drill, this race starts on Friday so keep your delgado monkey on a tight leash. Consult your personal oracles; there are bike frames, carbon wheels, V-kit and more for the winners of the season-long overall VSP. Further details can be found on the VSP page. Bon chance.

Amazing stuff! He's a beast, but I don't think it'll play like that over the next two, even though they're flat-ish. Looking forward to 6.

Anyone know what the story was with Chavez at the end today? I fell asleep 5 minutes before the finish, in the early hours of the morning here, and I see he came in 31. Thought he'd at least be in the top 10 today.

  • @stooge Chavez? He's no sprinter, he just rolled in as part of the bunch like the other GC guys.

I'm calling it now, at some point in this Giro Kittel is going to take time on the rest of the bunch in a sprint cos the gap back to 2nd is so big.

Dude. How do you fall asleep 5-minutes before the finish of a flat stage?! Cheese and crackers. That's when all the action happens. You must have small children at home and be sleep deprived.

Anyway, the Etixx train was solid, unlike yesterday, it was fast and tight coming into the finish, and Kittel killed it. No one else was close. He has way bigger gears or something.

  • Away for the weekend.  Sounds like Peraud had a nasty crash, good that he seems more or less OK.  One pick down though.

Holy shitballs. That’s two with daylight second. Gonna be hard to contain.

Yup, love it that the Deutsche Pompadour is back. Seems like a nice guy who enjoys his riding. When he finally kicked yesterday no-one was going to catch him.

    Sempre con noi 108

What is the Latin for “I have to google every shit that @Steampunk says?”

    Sic sempre searchengine!

Since "Sempre con noi 108" is Italian but Wouter W is Belgian, let me try: "Devo googliare tutta merda che @steampunk dice".
