I thought the same thing. I really haven’t watched women’s races until this year but in the races I have seen they all sit in the bunch and wait for something to happen. Amber Neben was off the front solo today but that seemed to be the only “attack.” The only “racing” seemed to take place inside the last 10K when the Dutch team formed an impressive lead out train.

Having said that, the finish was exciting, but sprint finishes always are. Dideriksen’s closing speed was impressive and her reaction was priceless.
