The Keepers Tour 2015 riders will be watching both the men’s and women’s Rondes on Sunday. When the women go storming by it is just as impressive as when the men do. Our boys will be knee deep in Malteni beer and frites as they spectate. The Malteni will be some much need recovery beverage after today’s Roubaix rattle-fest.
This is the direction women’s racing should be going: use the same course and infrastructure as the men’s race, the same day, the same potential coverage. A women’s Paris-Roubaix and a women’s L-B-L, those would be a races too.
Here is the start list. Remember that picking the women’s winner is worth just as many points toward that steel frame as the men’s so who is going to beat Lizzy Armitstead? That is my question. She is turning into an all around ass-kicker. Don’t Delgado and make your picks with a pure heart and a buzzing brain.
