We Wish You a Merckxy Christmas, and a Coppi New Year

From the bottom of our hearts, and on behalf of everyone at Velominati, we wish you a very Happy Holidays and as such issue a temporary suspension of Rule #11.

I’d like to thank everyone for coming around to our little corner of the world to spend your valuable time as part of the community; without you, none of this works. Thanks for helping to make 2011 a success. Here’s to 2012.

We wish you a Merckxy Christmas, and a Coppi New Year.

The founder of Velominati and curator of The Rules, Frank was born in the Dutch colonies of Minnesota. His boundless physical talents are carefully canceled out by his equally boundless enthusiasm for drinking. Coffee, beer, wine, if it’s in a container, he will enjoy it, a lot of it. He currently lives in Seattle. He loves riding in the rain and scheduling visits with the Man with the Hammer just to be reminded of the privilege it is to feel completely depleted. He holds down a technology job the description of which no-one really understands and his interests outside of Cycling and drinking are Cycling and drinking. As devoted aesthete, the only thing more important to him than riding a bike well is looking good doing it. Frank is co-author along with the other Keepers of the Cog of the popular book, The Rules, The Way of the Cycling Disciple and also writes a monthly column for the magazine, Cyclist. He is also currently working on the first follow-up to The Rules, tentatively entitled The Hardmen. Email him directly at rouleur@velominati.com.

...he completes his loop, comes back to you, beaming, and utters the immortal words "daddy, it's my guns that are shot today". Bless him... The little guy is a champion.

    Damn straight!
    A+1 to that little man.

  • Oh Blimey, after my first year of cycling hard, my body has properly rejected the Day's over indulgence....

    Merry Mmas to yall

  • Merckxy Xmas to all you dear bastardos. You ARE my cycling community and I truly appreciate all your insights, challenges, and wit. You are all much appreciated. Thank you for making this all a true joy and putting up with my half-wit writing.

Santa brought me cyclopedia and a frame for the start of n+1. COPPI NEW YEAR.

  • @xyxax

Santa's little pirates are selling a print-out poster of the "Rules" for 110 kroner, which is like $4000 US.
    (from a link here)

    There will be an investigation.

  • @marko
Did Marko win the bidding on ebay? I hope so.

Happy Holidays to all you cycling fools. Roll on into 2012.

  • I got 50km in with 22 degree weather. Love SoCal X-Mas!

PS CA Cogal article in is in the queue (hint, hint, Keepers!).

  • @sgt
I got 10 km in with son #1 today on his new bike. One of the best rides all year. 10 degrees C with a good wind. A lot of telling him about head winds/tail winds drafting and freezing!!! We both had such a good time!

  • I received a Park Tool repair stand today as well - finally I can give my bike as much love as it deserves.

    @marko

What type of frame? Gin and Trombone or whatever you, Frank and G'Rilla were geeking out over at the Cogal?
